Each week at Little Learners Papillion Preschool, we focus on one letter. This is a resource for the letter “S” or “S is for Sun” preschool learning activities. If you are a family in our preschool, you can use these activities to introduce the letter “S” or to review concepts from the week. Little Learners Weekly Check-In for “S is for Sun” (using the LEARNERS acronym for preschool learning standards)
This is the weekly check-in sheet we used for “S is for Sun” week. Some of the preschool activities were specific to the time of year, such as St. Patty’s Day Coloring. Some are skills we were working on at the time such as the call and response practice. Feel free to use what works for you and your preschooler.

S is for Sun: Find the Letters Preschool Activity (Language, Writing and Fine Motor)
Preschoolers can practice writing and identifying letter “S” with this activity. Younger kiddos may need help using hand-over-hand guidance. You could also use dots or stickers to cover up the letters. This preschool activity falls under the “Language, Writing, and Fine Motor” in our LEARNERS preschool standards acronym.

This playlist combines songs and learning videos for a fun way to introduce or review the letter S for preschoolers. You can use the link above for a no-commercial version for the sun playlist, or use the playlist below. For the most impact, dance around with your preschooler, pause the videos to talk about interesting discoveries, and let your kiddo ask questions.
